Music Matters

Why music matters
Music matters because it has been used to express emotions that word cannot describe. Music is a valuable tool to take out aggression and hate or to relax and calm yourself no matter what music can put you in a different mood or enhance the one you’re feeling. Music can also bring up memories of the past like a special dance or that song that you had a great experience with and the song triggers that memory. For me the song I like it like that by Hot Chelle Rea bring up a memory of a summer day driving with the windows down and the wind rushing through my hair or once was hair. Music once was even used to relay messages.
When slavery was still allowed in the South, the oppressed sang songs. These songs had two meanings one to boost morale and to relay the message of where the underground railroad was and how to navigate it after one that “railroad”. Music has been an important part of human society. The way people worship their religions is through songs. Music brings people together for one thing. Just like the song Come Together by The Beatles, just “come together right now over me.”
